Overview

Stellemploy is a community development organisation with the vision to break the poverty cycle in the developing communities of the Greater Stellenbosch municipal area. We train youth (18-35 years of age) in a variety of technical work skills aimed at fast tracking students to employability. Our training also includes business and personal skills development, enabling students to build successful careers. We have a firm understanding of the social circumstances of our students and offer the support needed to only complete their studies, but to enter the job market. Our work placement programme is aimed at placing recently trained and other select jobseekers with employers in our Stellemploy network.

Programmes:

Chef Assistant (8 weeks)

This course is focussed on basic food preparation and kitchen assistance. The course is credited through Highfield Qualifications

Chef Diploma (1 year)

This course is an in-depth course that includes all aspects of food preparation and kitchen management. The course is credited through Highfield Qualifications.

Electric Skills (4 weeks)

This course offers basic training on electrical skills and is credited through the Construction and Energy SETA.

Plumbing Skills (4 weeks)

This course offers basic training on plumbing skills and is credited through the Construction SETA.

Handyman skills (8 weeks)

This course offers basic training on overall maintenance skills and is credited through the Construction SETA.

Plastering and Tiling skills (4 weeks)

This course offers basic training on plastering and tiling skills and is credited through the Construction SETA.

Carpentry Skills (4 weeks)

This course offers basic training on carpentry skills and is credited through the Construction SETA.

Automotive Spray Painting Skills (8 weeks)

This course offers basic training on automotive skills and is credited through MERSETA.

Welding Skills (4 weeks)

This course offers basic training on welding skills and is accredited through the Construction SETA.

Gardening Skills (2 weeks)

This course offers basic training on gardening skills and is credited through the Agri SETA

Painting Skills (4 Weeks)

This course offers basic training on painting skills and is credited through the Construction SETA.
